This Privacy Policy explains how the Study Play mobile application ("the app", "we", "us", "our") collects, uses, stores, shares, and protects your information. Study Play is a school and coaching management app that also includes study and learning tools. By using the app, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.

1. Who This Policy Applies To

Study Play is typically used inside a school, coaching centre, or institute. Users may include administrators, teachers, and students. Administrators and teachers manage records on behalf of the institute, while students access information shared with them. This policy applies to all users of the app.

2. Information We Collect

Depending on your role and how the app is used, we may collect the following:

• Account & sign-in information: the email address and password used to create an account and sign in to the app.
• Profile information: details added to a user profile, such as name and assigned role (administrator, teacher, or student).
• Student records: student details such as name, class, and related academic information entered into the app by authorized users.
• Attendance records: attendance marked for students.
• Fee records: fee payment entries and payment history.
• Academic data: exam information, homework, timetable details, and notices created or shared within the app.
• Teacher records and user roles: teacher details and the access role assigned to each user.
• Reports: summaries generated from the records above.
• Content you create: code projects and HTML files created in the in-app code editor and IDE tools, drawings made in the paint tool, IQ test results, and library items.
• Files you open: documents such as PDFs that you choose to open or save through the app.
• Basic technical information: limited device and network details used to keep the app running reliably and to sync your data.

3. Information We Do NOT Collect

To be fully transparent, Study Play does not access or collect the following:

• Camera or photos
• Microphone or audio recordings
• Contacts
• Location data (GPS or network location)
• Bluetooth or nearby device data

The app also does not display third-party advertisements and does not sell your personal information to anyone.

4. How We Use Your Information

• To create user accounts and authenticate sign-in.
• To provide the app's core features, such as student management, attendance, fees, exams, homework, timetable, notices, and reports.
• To store and sync your data so it is available across sessions and devices.
• To save content you create within the app, such as code files and drawings.
• To maintain security, prevent misuse, and fix technical problems.

5. App Permissions

The app requests only the permissions needed for its features:

• Internet & Network State: to sync data with the server and check connectivity.
• Biometric: to let you sign in or unlock the app using fingerprint or face authentication. Biometric verification is handled entirely by your device's secure system. The app only receives a success or failure result — it never collects, stores, or has access to your actual fingerprint or face data.
• Storage: to open and save files such as PDFs and other documents used within the app.
• Vibrate: for in-app feedback and alerts.

6. Web Content

Some features of the app may display web pages or HTML content inside the app. If you open external web content, that content is governed by the privacy policy of the respective website, not by this policy.

7. Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored using secure cloud servers operated through trusted third-party service providers. Data is encrypted while being transferred between your device and our servers. We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your information. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

8. Third-Party Services

We do not share your personal data with third parties for marketing or advertising. The app relies on trusted service providers to function, including:

• Google Firebase — for user authentication and cloud database storage.

These providers process data only as needed to deliver their services and are bound by their own privacy policies.

9. Children's Privacy

Study Play may be used in a school or coaching environment where records relating to students, including minors, are managed by authorized adults such as administrators and teachers. Such records are entered and controlled by the institute, not directly by the children themselves. We do not knowingly collect personal information directly from children for our own independent purposes. If you believe a child's information has been provided improperly, please contact us so we can review and remove it.

10. Data Retention & Account Deletion

We retain your data for as long as your account remains active. You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time. Once a deletion request is received, your data is permanently deleted within 7 days and cannot be recovered.

• Access the personal information held about you.

• Request deletion of your account and associated data.

12. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the app after changes are posted means you accept the revised policy.
